Vintage Tea rooms

Had a lovely loooonnng weekend (hence the lack of posts) in Scarborough spending quality time with family and friends.

One of the highlights of my weekend was lunch on Tuesday with my mum, we went to Francis tea rooms a gorgeous little place, a little off the beaten track here.

I felt like I was stepping back into the 1930s!  It was small but quaint with wood panelled private booths with chandeliers hanging above, hand embroidered tablecloths, matching old-fashioned teacups and saucers, old mirrors and pictures adorn the walls.

It is open Tuesday - Saturday during the day and is also very reasonably priced and has a great selection of cakes!

It's worth a visit if you are in the area, South street also boasts lovely vintage clothes shop Rosies boutique and South street gallery which were unfortunately closed on the day of our visit (open Thurs-Sat) but I will definitely be back!
