Final Project

I thought I would share with you my final project from university, back in 2004!  I created a collection of pop-up cards based around the theme of an Old English country house.

The cards all opened out to dipicting rooms and gardens from the house and then folded back up to look like old books...

Etsy Friday

I have decided to do my etsy finds on a friday every week, just so I can call it etsy friday really!?!

Another favourite shop of mine on Etsy is Susanne Tucker Photography.  She takes really beautiful and photographs of florals, butterflies and landscapes using the soft focus and tones of poloroid photos.  They are then mounted on white painted wood blocks...

Stumble Upon

I have just discovered a great new site called stumble upon.  It is like a search engine site but it does all the hard work for you.  You just tick category boxes of your interests, which cover everything from the arts to sport it then searches the web for pages it thinks you will like, easy!

I normally just look at blogs so it was nice to find some different things.

I picked a lot from the art, design and crafts categories, after only an hour of looking these are some of the cool things they found for me...

A fab video on how to make a simple but impressive pop up card, view it here

A new flickr button (top right) and a lovely little vintage animation of two people dancing (left sidebar) from justsomethingimade.com, this was created by individually scanning in the pages of this old flip book...

Just something I made is also a great site for downloading free printable vintage labels like these below...

A design blog designers couch where I found these funny "honest" signs...

At 9gag.com I found this adorable post on how to make a cute chipmunk out of an old glove...

Stumble upon is obviously great for just browsing the net for anything of interest but probably not so good for searching for something in particular.
